Katie & Carter’s wedding was our second celebration on Sea Island in the month of April. What a perfect time of year to enjoy the Atlantic on this sequestered piece of paradise. The weather was perfect and the couple could not have been more of a joy to document. As you can see from the images below, Katie glowed on her wedding day.

The private wedding was held in the historic Christ Church Frederica. The Ocean Forest Golf Club on Sea Island held the beautiful reception. I love how their portrait time on the beach turned out. You can see, and feel, the joy the day held for Katie & Carter.

We typically do not blog our Associate Weddings, but we are making an exception for this very special one. Brittany and Rich did an incredible job documenting this celebration. This wedding is extra special, to us, because I, Katie, was the Matron of Honor, on this day, for one of my best friends. I’ve known Cassie since the second grade and we’ve been on many adventures together through our academic years, college years, and then living together in Colorado.

We have so many special memories together and I absolutely love how our friendship has developed and matured over the years. It was an incredible honor to stand by her side on this important day.

Cassie and Mike have known each other even longer than I have known Cassie! Their parents went to college together and have been friends every since. They now reside in Boston but still wanted a wedding in their home state of Georgia, with all their family and friends. They are an incredible couple with beautiful depth and love abounding. We cannot wait to experience the married years together, as couples.

We have quite a wonderful wedding season ahead. Haley and Andrew wedded at one of our favorite locations to capture weddings, Sea Island, Georgia. Sea Island’s staff is very professional and are spot-on with details and decor. I cannot say enough about how wonderful everything was at this location.

Haley and Andrew’s day begins with Haley preparing with her girls at The Cloister. Her dress was designed beautifully by Monique Lhuillier and she wore Christian Louboutin shoes. Andrew got ready at his long time family home on Sea Island. The ceremony was held at Wesley United Methodist. We had the pleasure of capturing Haley and Andrew’s reception at The Cloister in one of their enchanting grand ballrooms. If not for that wonderful day that these two met, in a laundry room at Ole Miss, this beautiful celebration would not have taken place. How neat it was to see how their love began and came to fruition on this glorious day.

During Haley and Andrew’s regal affair it was pleasing to observe their relationships with family and friends. They spent time to ensure that their friends and family were cared for throughout the day. So there is no wonder that we were honored to be a part of this day and wish them the best in their future together as husband and wife!
