With the end of the year coming we know that many of you might be looking for a non-profit for donating. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes with our non-profit, Recapture, to get this ready for all of you.

Our vision with Recapture is “to document the lost history of those affected by natural disasters by capturing their lives in portraits. That will instill family legacy and story, which will encourage self-worth and value.”

We have trips planned in the next year to help replace the lost legacy of families effected by disaster. This cannot happen without the support of those who believe in this cause. We are planning a trip to Galveston, Texas to help hurricane victims as well as looking into other international trips.

Anyone who has talked to us in depth about Recapture knows our heart behind it and what a passion it is to us. As with any non-profit we are only limited by funding and time. Funding is something that we need your help with. We have two ways of giving to this cause. One is by simply donating a contribution and the other is by the ability to purchase prints from our previous trips. You have the choice between post cards, signed and mated prints and framed prints.

In a year where we are all searching for unique gifts, this is a great gift idea for those who have everything or for those who have a philanthropic heart. Please let us know if you have any questions about the process. We’d be more than happy to help.

Please go here to see our site, here to donate and here to purchase.

Thank you!

We adore this family and have enjoyed seeing them grow! They are expecting a new baby boy and that will balance the family out to two and two. 🙂 They kids could not be more adorable. We did family pictures the day after Thanksgiving. We loved how they turned out and wanted to share a few with you.

Enjoy!

What a handsome family! Especially love the group shot on the steps. That can be a really HARD shot to get!

To say that I am blessed and well loved would just begin to describe how I feel. Between friends loving on me all week and family taking time to see me there was already no doubt that I have amazing people in my life. Chris of course is the master planner and always seems to surprise me with his creativity and thoughtfulness. After a wonderful day of fun, and then a couples massage last night we came to our loft where Chris had arranged a chef to be making our dinner. This is just the kind of guy he is to me. He knew that more than anything during this incredibly busy time of year I wanted us to have time together. Time to invest in our marriage and remember why we work so hard…to have this life together. He definitely brought tears to my eyes last night as I was humbled to be loved by him.

While we were engaged he gave me a box for my birthday. It was full of pieces of paper…all cut a different way and in a different color. They were of all the things he loves about me. We decided it would be fun to go back through the box. To remember where we were then when he wrote them. So we took turns reading them to each other through dinner. It was fun to see them.

To all of you amazing family, friends and clients. Thank you all for telling me Happy Birthday and to keep me celebrating all day. Your words of encouragement have renewed me.

Well, I’ll use any excuse to do that! LOL!!!! x oxxox x ~ Dawn
