Today is a VERY special day. It is the birthday of my wife, Katie. We have kind of had a birthday week with small surprises weaved throughout. Yesterday, we had our some friends from our church’s community group over to hang out. They surprised her with flowers and a cake! The picture below is that exciting moment between holding on to that single birthday wish and sending that wish off with extinguished candles. How fun! We are truly thankful for all those able to come out yesterday. It was fun to celebrate with you!

Today we have a wonderful day planned that ends on a special note. Her joy is an elated expression that shines across her face. She is also grateful for all the birthday wishes she has received so far. She has been a great inspiration to me, and those around us and I am proud to call her my wife. Happy Birthday Babe. Here’s to many more beautiful more birthdays!

Happy Birthday Katie!!! How come there was not a personal chef present when I was there?

Our Christmas cut off date for orders has been extended. If you want your gift to be received by the 23rd the cut off is tomorrow the 10th at midnight. This is for Christmas Cards as well as enlargements. We have a lot of orders still coming in and wanted to make sure everyone knows when the cut off date will be. We are loving all the designs of Christmas Cards and the gifts you are all planning. Let us know if you are having something planned and want us to be a part of it!

Beyond capturing an event our goal is to capture the personality of your guests and family. Chris can tell you without hesitation who my favorite people are at a wedding. It’s the grandparents. I’m addicted to capturing them and documenting their personality. I would I’d take them all home with me if I could! I love the stories their faces tell and the personality of them. It makes me think about what my personality will be at the age of 89. Am I as spunky at 27 as some of them are at 89? They challenge me and give me the desire to live life to it’s fullest and to fully love my family. At Jamie and Steve’s rehearsal dinner Chris captured this picture of Jamie’s grandmother going up to give her toast. Her personality was absolutely adorable and made me want to be her when I’m old. She’s great and I thought you should enjoy her personality as much as we did. Look at the happy couple cheering her on as she ran to give her speech. I love it.

Grandparents are my favorite too! I second shot for a friend a few months ago and he mentioned how he could do an album f the images I shot of Grandma. haha

AH, I love that that woman is obviously enjoying life… I have no doubt you will be just the same my friend. You have the secret “joy” sauce. 😉
