What an honor it is to be considered, much less chosen to photograph another photographer’s wedding. We are honored and humbled to actually be documenting three photographer’s weddings this year. Our first one was for Ross Knight and his beautiful bride Brandi. They have become good friends over the past year and it was simply a joy to be able to to capture their wedding on March 9th.
Most of you know that we returned to the states from Thailand on the 4th. Added to the jet lag came me being sick and Chris not feeling too hot either. Our close friends at LaCour were all going to be in attendance and kindly offered to help if we were not feeling 100% when the wedding day arrived. Clients occasionally ask what you do if by some strange circumstance something happens on the day of a wedding and you are unable to make it to the wedding. This is a perfect example. Our industry is wonderful to help each other out and cover you if something happens. We have such a strong group of photographers that would do anything for each other. Mark ended up getting sick and him and Erin were unable to be at the wedding, but Andrew and Rachel were there to help. It meant the world to us and they were able to capture some great stuff.

The wedding colors were just beautiful and I found myself loving to keep the images in color instead of my normal tendency to change them into black and white. : )
I love how peaceful this image of Brandi getting ready feels.
Detail of the guys.
Brandi glowed the entire day. Light was dancing on her skin.
Ross gave Brandi a beautiful journal, (shown in the first image with his ring on it) and here she is reading the first passage that he wrote to her for their wedding day.
It’s time to get married!
I’m loving this shot Chris captured of Ross as he composes him self before Brandi walks down the isle.
Here is Brandi seeing her grandparents as she walks down the isle.
Such a typical Ross expression. Andrew caught this one as Ross is seeing his bride for the first time.
Being that it was a photographer’s wedding. There were a “few” people taking pictures. : )
Another one of Andrew’s great shots. Brandi was so tender.
Like I said, a “few” people were taking pictures.
Some details. My shot is on the right and Andrew’s is on the left.
A few table details. The second one is Rachel’s.
A fun dancing image.
Brandi’s mother passed away when she was young from Breast Cancer. This has been a huge driving force in Brandi’s life. Everyone wore pink ribbon buttons with her name on it. Then Ross presented Brandi with a painting of her mother. To top it off he made the painting into US Postal stamps for each guest. Here he is presenting the stamp and painting to her. It was a tender moment for her.
The box that carried the stamps and their bride and groom bag.
As you can probably tell by now; Ross is quite the romantic. He then had a beautiful poem that he had written read out loud to Brandi.
We then headed out with them after they left and did some portraits of them. It was perfect because they were so relaxed and we had no time constraints.
A few shots of all of us (excluding Chris (sorry babe!)) in action.
I snagged these two of Andrew and Rachel being amazing friends.
Then Andrew caught this one of me.
Katie… I have looked at this slideshow about 50 times. I still smile and shed a tear when viewing as I recall the eents of this special time.
You are an exciting photographer. I really appreciate the detail of your photographs and your interpretation and presentaion. More importantly I appreciate the focus, care, and commitment you made to making my daughter’s wedding such a memorable event. I completely understand Ross and Brandi’s selection of “6 of Four Creations”. I enjoyed the engagement slideshow as well. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You…For such memories!
I’ve been a blogstalker since Ross & Brandi’s engagement shoot. These pictures are phenomenal, great job!
Hi, I am a friend of Elizabeth’s. I so enjoy coming to your site. I really admire your work!
We were so honored to have all of you document our wedding! You did a wonderful job, even if I was acting a bit silly and making the guests and Katie laugh.
And just to think, there is this rumor going around that the lapel microphone on my jacket was for me to give directions on taking pictures…yeah right! My favorite pic is still of Brandi and I eating cup cakes after the wedding at my favorite spot. Yum…
Thanks again!

What a joy to be a part of Ross and Brandi’s story. We are happy to play ‘second string’ to you guys anytime BTW. I’d pay to just see Katie smiling like that behind the camera 🙂
R&A
Regis, I knew you would say that. ; ) If you had seen Ross on the other side of the camera posing for his picture, you would have been smiling too. Nice observation. : )
Great work. What an awesome photography team.
Ross and Brandi, it was very nice to meet you two in Vegas. Congratulations again!
Katie, do you always have a big smile on your face when you are behind the camera? 🙂
What an amazing slide show! You can actually feel the love in the place. They looked so happy and in love. I’ve been reading his blog, which led me to yours. Thanks to you all for sharing so much of yourselves with us!
