Chris went on a hiking trip in NC with his guy friends. The girls in my family and I went on our annual ‘Girl’s Weekend.’ We were two very different trips! We will tell you the stories in pictures below. We’ll start with my trip. \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

We did some light shopping and then went to our hotel room to relax and read. From many suggestions, I am reading Love is the Killer App<\/a> by Tim Sanders. It’s starting as a great read for me, even though it normally takes me forever to get through a book.<\/p>\n

Did I metion that my little brother proposed to Maggie on Friday night?!?!! Yea! They will be getting married this December. So, we had to pick up a bridal magazine.<\/p>\n

We all love Real Simple<\/a> magazines, Elizabeth picked up this one on Celebrations.<\/p>\n

For the first time, my mother is the ‘Mother of the Groom.’ She is actually going to be the ‘Mother of the Groom’ twice this year as my other brother Ben and his fiance Anna will be getting married in June!<\/p>\n

Here is a picture of the beautiful ring! It was Maggie’s Grandmother’s ring. Charlie took a ruby out of the center and placed an AMAZING diamond in it’s place.<\/p>\n

OK, most that know me know that I’m a health NUT! We were a few miles from a new Trader Joe’s<\/a>, so we stopped in and shopped for yummy food in our hotel room.<\/p>\n

After we came back to the hotel room, we enjoyed all of our savories and sushi in bed…does it get any better?<\/p>\n

The next day was filled with shopping and lunch at Jason’s Deli<\/a>, the whole time was great! Banana Republic<\/a> had some great sales! I bought two new beautiful black sweaters for weddings. Us photographers can never have too many black articles of clothing in different styles! <\/p>\n

Now for Chris’ trip:<\/p>\n

He had to take our little Canon Elph SD 600<\/a> camera. It was to be pouring rain on Sunday…which it did…so he had to take our baby camera instead of the big boys<\/a>. We didn’t want to risk anything happening to them. The pictures were from the first day while the weather was good. On the way out though the cold rain, wind and fog set in.<\/p>\n

This is on a trail in the Shining Rock Wilderness in Pisgah National Forest. <\/p>\n

They did several trails in the course of two days. They did a total of 19 miles. <\/p>\n

We all made it home safe and sound. We hope your weekend was a fun one as well!<\/p>\n
