Amanda and Bart were such a joy to work with from day one. Amanda is the co-owner of Cream & Flutter (a bakery in Illinois). She brought so much to the table with her design, event planning and food knowledge. It seemed as if a rustic bakery, Anthropologie and Vera Wang collaborated to create the perfect evening. It was basically just as Katie would have dreamt a dream intimate affair to be. Those are definitely the key players for incredible details. Add to that a crisp, gorgeous fall day in the mountains at Old Edwards Inn. Florals abounded by Oakleaf, leaving nothing for the eye to want. As cozy and intimate as one would hope.
Amanda and Bart are true gems. They are extremely gracious and it was incredible to see the love and admiration that was surrounding them with their own love and by their friends and family.
It was an honor to be a part in their day in so many ways. We wish you both the best and can’t wait to see you again soon!

Wedding Favors: Cream & Flutter + Oakleaf – The mugs were ordered from Anthropologie, Oakleaf designed both the scent of the candle and the color of the wax to match our style and poured each candle individually into the mugs.
Save the Dates: Cream & Flutter + Mavora Art & Design – Cream & Flutter made the blackberry jam from scratch and canned it into mini European-style mold jars by Weck. Each jar was labeled with a chalkboard tag that said “blackberry jam.” Mavora Art & Design took a photo of The Barn (at Old Edwards) and designed a magnet with our names and the date/location of our wedding. A magnet was tied to each jar with twine and they were wrapped in square kraft boxes stuffed with wood shred and mailed to each guest.
Invitations: Cream & Flutter + Mavora Art & Design + Weiskamp– I collected vintage handkerchiefs from my grandmother and great-grandmother for our invitations. I chose designs that were either white with a lace border or white with a simple floral design. Mavora Art & Design designed the layout of the typeface and Weiskamp screenprinted each hankie by hand. The handkerchief was wrapped around an rsvp card (and a spa invite card for my girlfriends) and tied with a cream colored ribbon. They were inserted into kraft paper envelopes and mailed to each guest.
