This was our first Christmas together being married. It was fun and new for us. We spent Christmas Eve with Chris’ Dad and Sister. We had a great time with them. We enjoyed a wonderful meal, played Scrabble, and opened presents. We did however, forget the camera!
The next morning we had Christmas together with our dog Asia. Then we went over to my parents home. All four siblings with our husbands/wives, fiances, or girlfriends were there. Plus two precious grandkids!
You will see all the pictures below.
Our tree with presents below. 🙂
Our beautiful STAR.
Asia, admiring the tree.
Fast forward an hour to my parents house. My mom makes the best stockings! They are so thoughtful and wonderful. Here is a Baby Brownie Special. How adorable is this camera?
My brother Ben and his fiancé Anna opening their stocking.
Our niece Caroline with her next present.
Doster LOVES cherries. Here is “Uncle” Ben spoiling him. This happened many times that day.
Here is our snuggly nephew Doster in Grandpa and Grandma’s high chair.
My mom (Grandma) and Caroline reading about her new present.
My sister Elizabeth trying to keep her active son in arms for a moment.

Me trying to get in some snuggle time! ;D
Jason (Elizabeth’s husband) getting his next present while Caroline calms down in a chair behind him. Christmas was very exciting for the kids! 🙂
Here are the piano keys that my grandmother played every time she came to our house. She has passed away, but that memory lingers. The sweet sound would fill the house. This was also the piano where we all took lessons…not very long for me. You can see little pieces of tape with the keys written out.
My mother loves to decorate and create a beautiful table. This year was no exception.
Here is a special tradition my parents started. They have a candle stick for every member of the family. Each candlestick is
unique as each of us are unique. The crystal candle stick shows how treasured we each are and the candle shows how we
each add light to our family and to the world. When they are all lit together, the light generated by the total collection is
significant. Dad read Matthew 5:13-16 (NIV) and challenged us to not hide our light but to let it shine as a glory to our
Heavenly Father. Each year, a new candle stick is added if our family has grown by marriage or birth. What an amazing tradition that brings tears every year!
We all enjoyed a wonderful meal together. Here is Chris, Maggie, Charlie, Ben and Anna
On this end we have Jason, Elizabeth, Dad, Mom, and Me
Thank you to Chris’ Dad, Sister, My Dad, Mom, Brothers and Sister for making this year so special. We loved spending time with all of you!
Love,
Chris and Katie
