If you know me, you know how I like my water. Or at least if we have dined together. I get looks most places I go. A mixture of confusion, suppression of laughter and politeness rolled up in one expression. I sit down and request sliced cucumbers for my water. It gives it a fresh, light taste and makes me love water, when normally it is only tolerable. So on Saturday night Chris and I had gone to an event in Atlanta. On the way home we stopped and had Thai for dinner….mmmmm. After I put in my normal request for water. My waiter later asked why I do that. I told him why and he said “because we puree cucumbers and take it to lower blood pressure. It’s really good at calming and soothing.” Ah ha! I’m not crazy! This probably also explain my blood pressure that is normally around 102/65. : )
Regis, you again are a mess!
Shyla, I completely agree! cucumber water does make you feel like you are at a spa or hotel. Makes me relaxed and happy! : )
MMMmmmMMM I love cucumber water!
It makes you feel like you are at a spa… or at some fancy hotel where they serve it in the foyer.
you’re cute. 😉
…and you believed the waiter?
We Asians will say anything to get a good tip.
: ) hehehe, thanks Sticky!
good idea….cucumbers and coffee….lowering your blood pressure and raising it all at once….I guess that would cancel each other out! : )
We all know you are not high-maintenance, Katie. It is Chris who is, right? LOL!
Cucumbers lower blood pressure, huh?
I’m gonna start putting them in my water, coffee, orange juice, and martinis!!
haha, yes, Erin, now you know that I’m not high-maintenance or crazy! 😀
