We didn’t get around to posting a Thanksgiving blog, but I was feeling thankful today and wanted to share why. Chris has been away for a little while helping family. I’ve been feeling under the weather all while working diligently on all the sessions we’ve been doing in this busy time of year. Last night, Andrew and Rachel came by and took me away to dinner. It was a good break. It made me thankful to have friends there to support and encourage. Then Chris came home today with a bouquet of tulips. He knows they are my favorite and how to make my day. : )

Thanks Andrew, Rachel and Chris for being so sweet to me.

Tulips are one of my favs, too, btw! So simple, modern and elegant 🙂

Hope you feel better soon, Katie!

Tulips are wonderful! We hope you feel better! Way to come through in the clutch Andrew, Rachel, and Chris!!

First off, don’t you just love her name??

Secondly, it is such a joy to capture the first days of a child’s life. They are so still and vulnerable. Willing to just rest in you. Emerson is quite the little beauty. So precious. She has a wonderful family and has entered a world of love and acceptance. I wish all babies were this fortunate. Enjoy their pictures and this precious time in the joy of new life.

Let’s just say there are some that are not happy about the new changes taking place.

It is a beautiful name. We almost named little Gray, Emerson…almost the same exact name, cause her middle name is Elisabeth 🙂

    Great images!!

There is a certain mixture of pride, love and a magical glow that graces the faces of grandparents and parents on the day of a wedding. There is a well of emotion that is being tapped into. A source that has been on reserve waiting for a day such as this. I love to seek this beauty out. I love to capture it and let it stand still in time for generations to come. This image was from a wedding in October. I loved it the moment it happened and I am still in love with it. This sort of richness inspires me. What is your inspiration?
