Last Friday, I made my way up 85 to the Chateau Elan to meet up with Regina. She had a bridal session scheduled with Heather and asked me to come along. We had a wonderful morning despite the showers that ushered us in. Heather is beautiful and almost had a Audrey Hephburn quality to her. She was so graceful and sweet. What a beautiful bride! Enjoy the pictures from our morning.

After the session, Regina and I enjoyed a wonderful lunch at the winery. Yummy hummus, salads and soup. I also enjoyed a nice glass of wine.

As lunch was over, we browsed the gift shop. Regina bought me the coolest wine bottle holder. It’s shapped like a half moon. It craddles the wine bottle. She also bought me a bottle of the Essence de Cabernet that I enjoyed at lunch. Thanks for a wonderful day Regina!

I second shot a reception last Friday night for Ben Vigil with Matt Yung. Ben was so great and they were both a blast to work with. The wedding was for Susan and Sean. They were married in Mexico in mid January. Ben was able to go with them and get some amazing images. Susan is a local wedding coordinator here in Atlanta. As you can imagine every detail was covered and was given the utmost care. Bold American catered the meal at ever artistic mixed with elegant King Plow Arts Center.

Candle light filled the room and illuminated the colors of turquoise, reds and yellows.

Susan thought of every detail. She even had our place cards set for us to enjoy the meal to come.

Susan and Sean repeated their vows for their guests. It was a very tender time. It was followed by readings of love quotes and a song dedicated to the bride and groom.

The Mariachi Band was so fun. They really set the mood for the evening. I loved how the pictures of them turned out.

The cake had tile around two layers and roses cascaded their way down the side. It was perfect!

Thanks so much for all your help — you ROCKED!

The mariachi is still probably my favorite. 🙂

Berry College Elementary School in Rome Georgia has a Kindergarten Wedding every year. We started donating our time to this great school last year. This school makes everything about learning grand. In Kindergarten, they learn the alphabet. For the letter “W” they learn about weddings. They talk to their parents about how they met and were married. Then they actually put on a wedding! It’s such an affair! As you can see from the pictures below, it was an amazing experience as usual.

It was like a swarming bee hive in the bridal area. All of the little ladies were preparing their hair and make-up. They were all so beautiful!

What a beauiful Bride!

Sweet ladies in waiting.

The trusty ring bearer.

They even included bagpipes into the 1920’s stone chapel to complete the wedding feel.

What a precious moment! Two years ago her older sister was also the bride. This daddy’s had quite the honor!

There were solos, musicians and readings from different students.

After the wedding everyone was off to the party!

No wedding is complete with out the first dance.

Then ALL the fathers and daughters danced together. I was about to cry!

Such a cool idea! I want to do something like this with our 6 y/o now! 🙂 She’d LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE this! She has a flowergirl dress/playdress but she’d do well in bridal white too. haha

    Great photos!!

  • LaCour - March 15, 2007 - 5:16 pm

My favorite is definitely the one of the Dad walking his little girl down the aisle. Wow, so classic. They will cherish that forever.

Katie, that shot of the father walking his little girl down the aisle is going to be such a treasure for her family to have through the years… especially when she grows up and gets married for real. You know they will pull out that photo and just cry and cry… ~ Erin/LaCour
