Two years ago, Asia was only a little over six months old. She made the mistake of eating the pumpkin pie. I made them while living in Colorado. She made her mistake once and I think she learned her lesson. Even when we learn lessons the temptation does not always go away. This year she was interested, but never made a move. On Coonhounds, their noses are all they have. It’s so strong and intense. It’s her brain. You will see the progression and the depression at the end of being defeated.
Oh yea, and then I started some decorating for Christmas! 😀
The wonderful pumpkin pie I made.

Asia wanting the pie.

Asia really wanting the pie.

Asia depressed because she didn’t get the pie. 🙂

Our fun decorations. I love Christmas! 😀

Our stockings and decorations. I bought the stockings in NY last December. We bought them in a little underground shop in the East Village. One of the only shops open when we were passing through.

I love this story…the pictures are amazing…you are so talented. I wish I spent more time making great shots instead of stressing out all the time. I also love your decorated mantle…perfect of course.
These pictures are beautiful! I am so glad you took ours = )
Have a wonderful day and I will talk to you when your up here again!

Today I was at WinShape Retreat teaching a few lessons in pottery. WinShape is about an hour away from our home in Rome, Georgia. They have a studio that they have provided for me. I am able to teach lessons to their guests once in a while.
When I was in school for my BFA, I concentrated in Photography, but I took many classes in ‘ceramics.’ I love being able to get dirty in my art. This is a little side hobby that I love. I enjoy creating pieces of utilitarian art and being able to give these pieces away. Chris came along to spend the day with me and took pictures of me creating. I hope you all enjoy his wonderful pictures.
Thanks everyone! All of your comments mean so much. I think Chris did a pretty amazing job as well!

I do love to have both outlets. However I had to make Pottery my hobby and Photography my profession! It’s too hard to juggle. I just couldn’t be a master at both.
That is awesome that you paint! Enjoy your holiday season and it was great meeting you as well!
Beautiful piece of pottery Katie! Chris, you did an awesome job capturing the action close up! Love the shots, and the last one with Katie OOF in the background is absolutely awesome! Hope you guys have a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
How beautiful, Katie! And Chris for the great captures! Wow, I love that you do both your pottery and photography. How do YOU do it? I juggle my painting and photography and this time of year is really difficult to get paiting clients and photography clients all settled for the holidays with their commissions. I do it, but it’s the greatest challenge I have each year. Are you in the same boat? Late nights are the answer for me though…Here they come! Have a blessed holiday season! Loved meeting you at OSP South… 🙂
Awesome Katie and Chris. You both are just incredible. I love the way your pictures say so much about your passion!!
Hey Rich!
Yep, I can do pottery too. We do worship with it at the Retreat as well.
Chris did do an awesome job! I really like what he got.
😀
Way to go Chris! Those look amazing! And I had no idea when I met you Katie just how talented you are! A potter AND a photographer!? Come on! Spread some talent around, will ya?
