Traditions. We love traditions. When Rosemary was born we started dressing up with a family theme. It’s been a funny little thing to do together. Making costumes gets silly, messy and exhausting, but it is so worth it. It brings our family together, brings laughter in our home, and gets us to sit back and realize how we are a little team. We want our kids to know that being a team player begins at home. We help and support each other through life. The good and the bad.

We are not in to the gore and scary of Halloween, in fact I used to hate Halloween, but with kids you can’t avoid it. So, we’ve made it our own. We’ve made it innocent and fun for the whole family.

This year we were Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Papa Bear, Mama Bear and Baby Bear.

Here are our costumes from the last three years.

2012 We were The Peanuts Crew

2011 A little lamb and farmers

2010 A baby bird, mama bird and a tree

Our inspiration for this year’s costume: A Beautiful Mess Blog
