We are nearing the end of 2011, but we will still capturing a few more beautiful weddings! This post is the last Old Edwards Inn wedding of 2011. Bittersweet, but looking ahead to 2012 we are excited at the weddings already booked at The Farm at Old Edwards.

I could not wait to meet the glowing couple. They, like most of our couples booked us without having an in person meeting. Actually, I had spoken with Doug early on and we really hit it off. I truly value couples that have an appreciation and desire to see their wedding captured in a pure, organic and elegant way. All while knowing that we are documenting the essence of the day.

The day started in with heavy fog in the autumn North Carolina mountains. This gave the opening to their day a mysterious feel. The day progressed wonderfully! As the fog lifted, it brought the rain that is characteristic of this region of North Carolina. This did not dampen anyone’s spirits, instead they and the guest (not to forget their furry friends) had a ball celebrating the lovely couple through to the evening hours!

Doug & Laurel, it was a wonderful pleasure to be a part of capturing your wedding day. Your love for each other was truly evident in how you treated one another. Thank you for the honor and we wish you the best in your life together as husband and wife.

The pictures are amazing!! Loved this day! Cheers to Laurel and Doug!

I can hardly believe that sweet Mae has been with her new family for over six months now. She has grown to love them dearly and fits right in. Her personality keeps shining through more and more. Kristen and I adore seeing her and Rosemary play together and grow as two sweet little girls that love Hello Kitty and singing The Itsy Bitsy Spider. :  ) They are sweet friends already and we can’t wait to see how their friendship grows.

Enjoy this beautiful and sweet little girl.

After a beautiful string of weddings in North Carolina we are back in our home state of Georgia for one more wedding before we leave again for a few more. There is something lovely about being back home though. Maybe it is being close to home and family. Perhaps it is the familiarity of the venues we shoot in. In any case, we truly value all of our couples whether they get married here in Atlanta or where ever their wedding may take us. It is their family story that we have the honor of capturing.

I met dear Mindy and her sweet mom a few months before during our initial meeting and we instantly connected. I could tell like all of our couples they desired elegant photography that captures the essence of the day through careful documentation. That is what we wanted to do for them.

The day could not have been more perfect! The weather was cool enough to have the heat of the sun chase off the chill in the air. The Piedmont Driving Range’s golf course is a beautiful location with an exceptional staff to care for the 300+ guests attending this wedding. I loved how Mindy pulled in rustic elements at the reception that was tented sharing the indoor area and now the green lawn to the side. The guest all enjoyed the social aspect of this affair bring many socialites from Atlanta together.

Mindy and Charles we thank you for the opportunity and cherish the honor of documenting your special day. We hope the best in your future together!
