Alexandra and Byron were married back in 2009. We were honored to capture their wedding portraits for them. They recently had their first child. A little baby boy named Oliver. I was so excited to be able to capture this new life. He’s such a happy baby and easy going. He seems to be fitting right in. We had a wonderful cool fall day for the session and enjoyed a happy baby’s awake time to capture his portraits.

Enjoy these pictures of him at three months.

Little Turner was born a few weeks ago. Little did he know what an amazing family he would be given. He was definitely blessed, as were they. Mark and Amy have the kindest hearts and it was a complete joy to document their first experience at being parents. They were handling it like pros. They were relaxed and able to joke. Yet still completely in tune with Turner’s needs. Such a delicate balance in the beginning and they seem very comfortable in their new role. I’ve known Amy for several years and we’ve tried to figure out ways for us to photograph them in the past. Turner’s arrival seemed perfect timing. His session was a gift from her sister. What an ideal baby gift.

Mark and Amy, it was truly an honor to document your little family. We can’t wait to watch him grow and continue to tell your story as a family.

katie and chris, these are precious. we loved our time with both of you. thank you for allowing us to stop time, just for a moment, and capture these sweet smiles.

After a wonderful summer wedding season we decided to take a little family getaway to Maine. Our fall looks to be packed full of weddings, portraits and letterpress with Farmwood Press. We saw an opening in our calendar and decided to take advantage of it. We are not the best at taking time out for vacation and we now see the importance with Rosemary in tow. We traveled up to Maine and stayed with our dear friends Emilie Sommer and J Sandifer along with their adorable baby Will. They were the perfect hosts and treated us just like family. We’ve come home from our time with them inspired and renewed. We adored our time with them and we are all sad to not be around each other.

We soaked in the cooler temps after leaving the 90+ temps in Atlanta. We enjoyed lobster rolls, hikes to the beach, ferry rides, whoopie pies, ice cream, fresh sea food and walks on cobble stone streets. We braved Irene’s threats for a day and lost power, but that didn’t get any of our spirits down. It was nice to take that day to cozy up and rest.

We were also able to meet up with our friend Shyla and Eric. They brought smiles to our face and laughter to our hearts. We were so grateful for them driving up from Massachusetts. They remind us of what to it means to be joyful and full of life.

Enjoy looking through our family memories.
