We’ve been looking forward to Stephanie and Huston’s wedding for a long time. We first met with them before we even announced Katie was pregnant. So we were thrilled for the day to have arrived. Stephanie is just one of those classic beauties and a bad picture of her can simply not be taken. Light dances on her beautiful skin and her gracious personality lets you feel at home immediately. Stephanie is in theater and Huston is a music producer. So there were a lot of unique aspects to their day that everyone loved. You’ll see them at the reception.
Their wedding and reception took place at the Grand Hyatt Atlanta in Buckhead. This stately hotel had a good space for this wedding and a wonderful staff on hand to make sure all went well.
Stephanie’s gorgeous Kenneth Pool gown. This is quite a striking gown that displays elaborate bead work with luxurious fabrics. It leaves no wonder why Amsale Aberra loves designing this collection.
Putting the final touches on Stephanie’s makeup.
The sixpence.
Taking a deep breath in memory of one of her grandmothers who could not be at the wedding. This special handkerchief was in honor of her.
I simply adore this image of Stephanie’s grandmother positioning her veil.
Huston’s father passed away a week before the wedding. This gave a very tender feel to the day as his presence was missed and remembered. Here Stephanie’s dad helps him putting on the finishing touches.
There are some wonderful spots at the Grand Hyatt that lends for some fantastic light.
Darryl Wiseman did the florals and as usual it was gorgeous. We’ll be working with him again tomorrow at Christina and Brian’s wedding!
This image makes us smile. Little girls being girls as they pass the time before the wedding. Just like Lynn & Rob’s wedding there were quite a few flower girls to help usher in the bride. How sweet they were!
Stephanie’s dad was a vivacious man who took great joy in her daughter, and it showed! We love how he proudly walks her down the aisle.
We took them away for a little while to give them time to enjoy together as husband and wife.
The decor was outstanding! Thank you, Darryl Wiseman!
Ahh, I love the first dance. Such a sweet symbol of this first time dancing as husband and wife.
Tender moments between father and daughter.
Such a bittersweet moment for Huston and his mother. What a moment shared together.
Huston and Stephanie surprised their guests and performed a song for them. Stephanie’s voice inspires you to see the beauty in life. What a gift for their guests.
Mark Lotti of Classic Cheesecakes & Cakes did the cake. We love how he uses the gown of the brides as his inspiration. Always a masterpiece.
One more time performing with all of the groomsmen.
Have a wonderful honeymoon Stephanie and Huston. It was a honor to be able to capture this time in your life.
Grand Hyatt Atlanta and Jaclyn Showalter wish Stephanie and Huston a long and happy life together. We enjoyed hosting your event and being a part of your special day. We hope that we can share in many more of lifes special events with you in the future.
