Chris and I talk often about the father daughter bond that is so strong and like none other. It is a unique bond that can fill such an important position in a young girl’s life of being adored and accepted. Her father’s love can meet needs and show her the beauty that she holds. This bond can let a woman grow into a strong and confident woman. We see this beginning already in Rosemary and we watch for it in the weddings that we document.

Whitney and Stephen were married a week ago and this sweet love was very evident between Whitney and her father. I have three tender moments to share with you. Each one so important that I could not select just one to show you. Enjoy these images and may they remind you to love your daughter’s and raise them well.

A father’s first glance at his grown up daughter as a bride.

Saying good bye until he would walk her down the isle. This tender moment of obvious pain to be separated spoke to me.

Then the excitement and comfort of being in on your father’s arm as he leads you to your next step in life.

Today, Chris and I celebrate four years of wedded bliss. We look back over our four years with awe that it seems so much longer than that. We’ve grown so much, moved many times, built a family and a business. We consider it such a great honor and joy to work together side by side and be with our little girl so much. It’s daily an adventure to walk through this life side by side. There are ups and downs and in the end we cuddle together as a family and see what is right in this world. This bond and family unit that has been created makes our world tick.

Thank you to all of our friends and family for loving on us and celebrating another year of love in our lives. Your examples of strong love and communication has taught us how to navigate our marriage. We are still amateurs on this adventure but pray for many more years to come to grown in wisdom.

The picture below is from Rosemary’s three month portrait session from our dear friend Alice Park. More pictures from that session coming soon!

Congrats 🙂 Such a good looking family 🙂

I, Chris, had the pleasure last week to see one of Atlanta’s newest event spaces 200 Peachtree. Allison, the Social Sales Manager, was kind enough to give me a personal hard hat tour of this beautiful setting. Set to open later this spring/early summer, 200 Peachtree is located in the heart of downtown Atlanta. It is in close proximity to the Westin Peachtree in downtown, sharing a tunnel between The Ritz Carlton downtown, and The Ellis all fine hotels, are within walking distance. 200 Peachtree is in the renovation stage, transforming the old Macy’s building, turning it into another one of Atlanta’s finest wedding/event venues. This building is rich with so much history that the renovation of the space is only going to preserve that history.

The space is designed to work well hosting many unique events or a single grand affair. The grand ballroom is going to be quite a magnificent site once completed and is the focal point of the space. With original tile floor, the columns give it height and grandeur that is a sight to behold in person. They are also maintaining the original chandeliers that really balance the scale of the space.

One of the unique elements to the space that I found quite intriguing are the column’s capital. These capitals once resided in the very first Macy’s in New York City. Then, when Macy’s bought the space at 200 Peachtree, they moved these capitals to where they sit today.

This is going to be one stunning view when all is completed. I cannot wait!

I just love the yellow hues in the signature arch satined glass windows that run along Peachtree and Ellis streets. They bring in unique light into the ballroom and in the upstair meeting areas.

I sincerely hope you enjoy a glimpse of this new space. If you have any further question regarding your social occasion please contact Allison. I truly cannot wait for this venue to open to the public!
