I know it’s been a while since you’ve seen a Katie’s Favorites, and Chris keeps reminding me of that. 🙂 It’s been a busy fall and we’ve been focused on posting weddings and portraits. I thought it would be a nice break to show you all one of my favorites. Of course it’s going to be baby inspired right now. It’s Little Sapling Toys on Etsy. I just love their stuff. Chris and I want to have our daughter playing with wooden toys as much as possible. To us, it’s a part in not using plastic and more natural for her to be chewing on….just to name two reasons….I could go on. 🙂 I also love supporting small businesses. Little Sapling Toys are naturally beautiful wooden toys for creative and enthusiastic children made in Boise, ID. THEY PLANT A TREE FOR EVERY TOY SOLD! The finished toys use a local beeswax and organic jojoba oil finish. We have some other ones from a different company that use flax oil. Either way, it’s a natural way and surface for a baby to chew on them and play without toxins. Be sure to check them out. They are a great Christmas present.

Baby Henry is just about as cute as they come. He has two adoring parents and Chris had such a great time documenting this sweet time in their life. You can tell that he’s stolen their heart. How fun to see this sweet little family. Enjoy these great portraits of them!

    Crisp, beautiful photos!

Elana and Les will be getting married next July. We’ve seen Elana at many weddings in the past. Her sister and brother-in-law, Wendy and Alex were married in June of 2008 and we were honored to document their wedding. So, we were equally thrilled when Elana and Les contacted us about their wedding. I had a great time with them at their engagement session. The fall colors and them bringing the antique bicycle made it just dreamy. Thank you Elana and Les! Have a wonderful time being engaged and planning your amazing wedding.

They are super cute. I love the warm colors! I’m so jealous that we don’t have fall down here.
