Yesterday evening my niece Mary Anna Flowers was born. I was there to see her take her first breath and I don’t think that experience will ever get old to me. It is simply amazing to watch and see the joy a child brings. She’s my sister’s largest baby as she was 9.9 lbs and 21 inches long. She is just adorable with a head full of dark hair. We are more than thrilled as a family and are so happy to share her with you!

Welcome Mary Anna!

    Congrats – she’s beautiful!

When we were asked to cover Bold American’s Annual Wedding Planner’s event, we were honored. Bold American Events and Design, is one of our favorite, design and catering company. Held at the King Plow Art Center it was the perfect setting for such an occasion. Their decor is fresh and innovative and their staff serve with excellence. The theme for this event was Seduction. They explored the themes of what seduces through the senses. The design was wrapped around decadence and sweets and they nailed it on the bull’s eye! Seeing as it was on Fat Tuesday the theme went right along with the Holiday.

As you see above, they did not leave anything out! There was a beautiful mirror, long, table in which everyone gathered around for a most delightful gathering of courses. The decor included glass and crystal table settings. The lighting was a blue that mingled with the warmth of the candles as they lined the center of the table. The coordinators present were some of the best planners in the industry. The music was provided by the talent of Chip Lunsford from Event Performance. There were so many details and it would take me hours to go through them all! A big thanks go to Steve Bales and the staff of Bold American and the Fifth Group for the honor of being a part of such a gorgeous event!

Also, thank you to Nam and Ruth for coming out and helping us cover this event. You did an amazing job!

    Gorgeous!!!

To update you all, we’ve been out of town with our non-profit Recapture. We’ve been doing family portraits in Galveston and surrounding areas. They are families who lost all their history through photographs in pictures. We went to their homes, heard their stories, and encouraged them by recapturing their lost legacy. It was amazing and humbling. Go to our blog for the non-profit to read more about our time there. We’ll keep updating it in the coming week.

For now, here is a family portrait we did while we were there. This is a grandfather and grandson.
