We have six weddings this month (it’s an abnormal five weekend month). This is also our favorite time of year. So we wanted to be sure to carve out dedicated time to celebrate fall as a family. We went to a pumpkin patch last year in North Carolina, but Rosemary was too young to truly enjoy it. This year she grinned ear to ear the entire time. She adored going to Cagle’s Dairy Farm. She enjoyed kettle corn, farm animals, hay rides, and selecting her own pumpkin. We were full of joy as we watched our daughter delight in all of the new experiences. Summer has proven to be a wonderful time of various weddings and portraiture sessions with ‘lil Bird Collections. We are now about to embark on a line of weddings that will be taking place at one of our favorite venues, The Farm at Old Edwards Inn in October. We started our string of Old Edwards weddings in September with the wedding of Liz and John.

I met Liz and her mom early on and they have been quite a delight to work with. We don’t always have the opportunity to meet our couples before the wedding. In Liz and John’s case, we actually were able to meet, and knew right away that their wedding was going to be special! They had quite a regal affair that incorporated and cream, brown and green colors throughout.

Since the weather has cooled off a bit the Pavilion at the Farm was opened up to allow the gentle mountain breeze to enter in during the reception. This was the first time I was able to see the place with the open windows and it is quite a delight. The guests were enjoying every minute as well.

Liz & John, thank you for the honor of allowing us to be a part of capturing your day. I hope that you two are blessed in your marriage. May it be rich with love and joy in each other.

Little Carter is nine months old now. He’s as adorable as ever. I enjoyed a beautiful Atlanta morning at Grant Park with his parents, Jason and Kia. It was full of silly faces and snuggles to make Carter shine. I always enjoy getting together with them and talking. They are amazing people and parents. Simply a joy to be around.

Enjoy taking in all of Carter’s cuteness.
