With the holidays in full swing we wanted to get our last wedding of the year up for all of you to enjoy! Maria and Jimmy’s wedding ended our 2010 wedding season on a fabulous note. We had a wonderful time getting to know them and carefully observing them as we capture who the Barthmaiers really are. Our new associate photographer, Brittany, joined me and provided a beautiful perspective of the day. I also had the pleasure of having Jessica McGowen as a third camera who handled the groomsmen with flying colors! Needless to say we were not short of wonderful talent!
We started the day at Maria’s parent’s house. Her rosary was unique, because Maria actually crafted this beautiful piece herself!
Ah the dress! Maria wore a Rivini dress that was not only simple in design but simply gorgeous!
We then proceeded to Holy Spirit Catholic Church where the finishing touches were put on before the ceremony. I love that Maria incorporated her rosaries in her bouquet.
And now on to the ceremony.
The reception took place at the Atlanta Athletic Club. Before the reception started, as cocktail hour was in full swing, we walked around the property to capture the wedding party cutting up and having a good time. The bridesmaids wore pretty purple dresses that coordinated really well with the decor in the reception.
We took some time with the bride and groom for them to be together, away from the busyness of their guests, so they could be alone for a bit of time.
Maria’s beautiful hairpiece.
Lavenders and purples were incorporated so perfectly in the decor at the reception.
I love this of Jimmy’s mother.
The dances were so sweet in the way Jimmy held Maria.
I always enjoy the parent dances. Such a special time for parents to remember when their daughter or son was young and they danced through the house with their small child. Observing Maria and Jimmy with their father and mother showed this to be evident. The way their parents embraced them showed just how much they wanted their dance to last all night.
Maria and Jimmy, thank you again for the honor of being a part of your special day. We wish you the best in your lives together as husband and wife!
