Katie’s Favorite – Movies!

WALL-E is one of the best movie’s I’ve seen lately…and yes I did see the The Dark Knight. OK, so I’m not a huge sci-fi fan, so that might explain why it was not my favorite. When Chris and I were in Chicago we saw WALL-E with Cassie. She cried through it and I too was touched. It was extremely well done and held many hidden and not so hidden messages. There were messages of conservation, over consumption, commercialization, political and even biblical….did you even see that connection? I was completely impressed in how they ended the movie on an inspirational high. They showed how to improve and how to be grateful for the earth we still have and how we can improve it instead of focusing on the depravity of our environment. I thoroughly enjoyed watching and finding all of the messages the movie held as well as the sweet relationship between WALL-E and Eve. You should definitely go see it and take your kids if you have them. It will be a great spark of conversation for conserving and recycling.

this movie is amazing. i got to see it with some friends at the drive-in & was so pumped when it was over because of it’s message & that hopefully it will reach the kids & adults that watch it on some level… but i quickly got agitated when all the cars drove away & in their place were garbage bags- everyone had left a full bag of garbage. it was crazy!!! did they not see the same movie i’d just seen????

can’t wait to see you guys in a few days!
