We have both come from strong family lines of tradition and heritage, this has formed a keen awareness in us to capture your day in a way in which we would document our own family. We desire to create heirlooms through the photographs for generations of storytelling.

The Meaning of Spring

This week we welcomed the first day of Spring. The day was as beautiful as could be as the temperatures were creeping into the 60′s. We saw our neighbors coming out of the hibernation of winter. Gardens were tilled, bulbs were planted, baseballs were tossed and we all took time to talk. To literally walk across the street and spend time with each other.

As an introvert I love fall and winter. They seem to be introvert seasons to me and Spring and Summer seem like extrovert seasons. I love nesting in my home and spending time with my family. Life slows down and it’s more focused on the nuclear core of what makes our life tick. Yet, I do love the awakening of a neighborhood with the arrival of Spring. We all seem to start reaching out and spending more time with each other.

Our neighbors were showing this to us on Saturday as we spent the majority of the day laughing and catching up. During Rosemary’s nap time I came inside. I heard a chipper patter on the door and opened it to find my sweet neighbor with a bowl of a few dozen fresh eggs. As a child my family raised a few chickens and we always had fresh eggs. It’s a sweet childhood memory that has left me with a soft spot for fresh eggs. What a joy they were to receive.

The eggs symbolize the new life, new adventure and growing relationships of Spring. Ahead of us this year are 8 destination weddings, several local weddings, new adventures in our business and branches of it, a love in our marriage that keeps getting deeper, a growing baby, traveling and the investment in the lives that mean so much to us.

May you cross the street, invest in your family and friends and enjoy this season of new life and adventures.
