A year ago we had just found out that we were going to be parents and were beyond excited as we rushed to the hospital to welcome little miss Mary Anna into the world. I have been present for all of my sister’s children’s births. So this was a very special day. I was also able to whisper to my sister that we were actually both pregnant for one day together….at least that we knew.

Mary Anna has been such a joy this past year. She’s nothing but adorable, cuddly, snuggly goodness. She’s the image of a third child in her laid back manner and just a joy. It might be my position as a third child that connects with her and loves seeing her personality come alive.

To my sweet niece Mary Anna, may your next year be full of curious wonders, few bumps and bruises, lots of giggles from your belly, first steps and love every day. You are a joy to your Uncle and me every day. We love you.

This week we welcomed the first day of Spring. The day was as beautiful as could be as the temperatures were creeping into the 60’s. We saw our neighbors coming out of the hibernation of winter. Gardens were tilled, bulbs were planted, baseballs were tossed and we all took time to talk. To literally walk across the street and spend time with each other.

As an introvert I love fall and winter. They seem to be introvert seasons to me and Spring and Summer seem like extrovert seasons. I love nesting in my home and spending time with my family. Life slows down and it’s more focused on the nuclear core of what makes our life tick. Yet, I do love the awakening of a neighborhood with the arrival of Spring. We all seem to start reaching out and spending more time with each other.

Our neighbors were showing this to us on Saturday as we spent the majority of the day laughing and catching up. During Rosemary’s nap time I came inside. I heard a chipper patter on the door and opened it to find my sweet neighbor with a bowl of a few dozen fresh eggs. As a child my family raised a few chickens and we always had fresh eggs. It’s a sweet childhood memory that has left me with a soft spot for fresh eggs. What a joy they were to receive.

The eggs symbolize the new life, new adventure and growing relationships of Spring. Ahead of us this year are 8 destination weddings, several local weddings, new adventures in our business and branches of it, a love in our marriage that keeps getting deeper, a growing baby, traveling and the investment in the lives that mean so much to us.

May you cross the street, invest in your family and friends and enjoy this season of new life and adventures.

    Beautiful.

Julie and Doug were married a few weekends back with their friends and family surrounding them. The intimate ceremony took place at our favorite Frost Chapel in Rome, Georgia. The day was full of tender moments and great anticipation for their vows in making this great commitment to each other. We were honored to be a part of their day.

This was the first wedding back since Katie was on maternity leave and it was such a joy for her to be back shooting with me. We love serving all of our couples and consider it a great joy to be chosen to document their day.

Julie’s father placing her classic strand of pearls on her as she prepared for her wedding.

Since we have done a lot of weddings at Frost we are always challenging ourselves with different perspectives. I loved how these turned out.

Here the guys were getting ready and I was peaking through the door to get this image.

The groom.

Those first moments of a bride and groom seeing each other the day of the wedding is always tender to watch.

Julie and Doug chose to take communion with their friends and family at their wedding. I loved this detail that Katie captured of it.

The girls praying before the ceremony.

The first dance!

Of course we are always smitten with the older couples at receptions that set the example of love lasting. Here are the grandparents of the bride.
